about

Eleven instrumental improvisations played on electric guzheng. Each piece revolves around one, two or more re-occuring melodies or themes that were made in the moment to create an instant composition. The challenge was to identify what should re-occur and try to remember how to re-create those moments in real-time. With short term memory fading as fast as the notes would appear out of thin air, a traffic jam of interesting variations and happy accidents took shape.

A carousel of alternate tuning's and mined techniques add an evolving flow to the current of sounds. World music reverie in solo performance and collaboration. ... more
